The best of what is said in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah

One of the best acts of worship that it is preferable to do a lot in the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah is supplication. In these days, supplications are not rejected as long as they are purely for the sake of God Almighty, and that the Muslim is certain that God will respond to his supplication. These days are:-

  • On the authority of Anas bin Malik – may God be pleased with him – that he said: Umm Sulaym came to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and said: O Messenger of God! Teach me words to call them in my prayers. He said: (Praise God ten times, praise Him ten times, and magnify Him ten times, then ask Him for your needs).
  • Praise be to God, whose decree does not motivate, nor does His giving prevent it, nor does His work resemble the work of a maker. The affliction is the reward of every maker, the respite of every contented person, the merciful to every obedient, the bringer of benefits, and the book that gathers with shining light, and it is for supplications that hears, and for degrees that raises, and for distresses that motivates, and for the mighty is a suppressor, and the merciful is a lesson to every sufferer, and he defends his supplication for every sufferer, there is no god but him, nor Something that equals Him, and there is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, the All-Knowing, and He has power over all things.

One of the reasons why supplication is answered is supplication in the absence of the unseen, for whoever supplicates for his brother, his supplication is not rejected, as it is for him in the same way as the Noble Messenger told us, and it is not returned to him from himself, but rather it is returned to him by the most honorable of God’s creatures. • Oh God, I ask you for faith that does not turn back, bliss that does not end, and to accompany Muhammad – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – in the highest paradise of eternity.
  • My God, how does my sin prevent me from supplicating, and I do not see You preventing me from giving with sin, so repentance is to You, and forgiveness is with You, and there is no god but You, I have wronged myself, and admitted my sin, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins except You.
  • Oh God, I seek refuge in You from the effort of affliction, the realization of misery, a bad judgment, and the gloating of enemies.
  • O God, You are the First, there is nothing before You, You are the Last, and there is nothing after You, You are the Outward and there is nothing above You, and You are the Inward, and there is nothing below You.. Pay off our debt, and enrich us from poverty.
  • Oh God, keep me alive as long as life is good for me, and cause me to die if death is good for me.
  • O Allah, make us die as Muslims, revive us as Muslims, and join us with the righteous, without shame or temptation. O Allah, help me in it for its fasting and standing, and spare me from its errors and sins, and grant me in it your remembrance and thanksgiving for its continuity and with your success, O guide of the misguided.
  • Oh God, to you I have submitted, and in you I have believed, and in you I have relied, and in you I repent, and in you I have fought, O God, I seek refuge in your honor, there is no god but you, that you mislead me, you are the living that does not die, and the jinn and men die.
